Virtual Campaign a Success!

With COVID-19 cancelling events everywhere across the globe, and a global shutdown imminent, Humankind International had to pivot and figure out how to raise the ~$10,000 that our annual fundraising dinner makes in donations each year.

We did it, thanks to all you folks and your generous hearts!

Over the span of about a week in late April, when our fundraising dinner would’ve been, we took to social media and asked our supporters if you could help us get to $10,000 by donating your previously purchased ticket money and by donating what you could to our early childhood education centre located in Dadaab, Kenya.

We reached out to media, and our board member and co-founder Abdirizak was interviewed on Global Winnipeg’s morning show!

So, we wanted to say thank you to everyone who supported us and continues to support us. Your donations change lives every day and matter so much. Thank you for showing up for us, despite everything going on in the world and giving what you were able to so that all of us are able to continuing doing this work.
